Liza Camacho is our CFV Member of the Month! She brings such a cheerful spirit to the gym every day. When she walked in the doors of the gym, she was intimidated by the barbell, and now she deadlifts like nobody’s business. She is a master coquito maker and is the best and putting a smile on all of our faces. Get to know more about Liza!
How long have you been doing CrossFit?
Almost 6 months!
What’s your favorite workout?
I can’t say I have a favorite, but I do hold a special place in my heart for all ‘Hero’ workouts.
What’s your favorite movement?
Hmmm, let’s see, I enjoy anything I am ‘able’ to do.
Why do you do CrossFit?
For fitness, health, and mental clarity, plus, I really enjoy it.
What meal could you eat every day for the rest of your life?
I love me some Meatloaf and Garlic Mashed Potatoes.
What has CFV helped you do, achieve, overcome, etc?
Joining CrossFit Virilis has given me a different perspective on health and fitness. I understand the work and commitment it entails and respect how this art can change one’s life. Although hesitant and intimidated in the beginning, I now find myself doing and accomplishing things I never thought my body could do! CFV has allowed me to become a stronger, better, and happier version of myself.
If you could have dinner with anyone dead or alive, who would it be and why?
I would love for me and my son to sit down and have dinner with my mother and her parents. They are no longer with us and there is so much to talk about.
What are your top 3 favorite movies?
Grease, The Sandlot, and Bridesmaids, just for starters!
What makes you the happiest?
Being a MOM and putting smiles on people’s faces. Hanging out and vacationing with my son, cocktails on the beach, music and dancing, and just about anything as long as I’m with people who like to laugh, have fun, play games, and watch sports.
Anything else you want to add?
CFV has the best trainers, coaches, and members. They exude positivity and have a family friendly vibe. I am committed and passionate about my fitness journey and have met some good people and made great friends.
