How long have you been doing CrossFit?

I have been doing CrossFit for 1 year!

What are your favorite movements and workout?

My favorite movements are the handstands. It’s a goal of mine to do the handstand walks and negatives. I don’t really have a favorite workout. There is usually something in each workout that I struggle with, and I love that. I think I am addicted to things that suck! I love to do what I think I can’t and then feel like a bad a$$ afterwards! “Embrace the Suck!”

How does CrossFit impact you on a daily basis?

CrossFit helps improve my mobility and strength which helps me keep up with the busy lives of my children. I never not want to be able to do an outing with them because I’m “too old”

How has CrossFit Virilis helped you long-term?

Over the year I have done CrossFit, I have quit watching the scale and have noticed the loss of inches instead. Not gonna lie, I haven’t had the best eating habits all year, but I have still managed to lose pounds and inches with the aide of CrossFit. Now to embrace the healthy eating, too.

What would you do today if you knew you would not fail?

If I wouldn’t fail I would take in all the foster kids and foster animals every where. I hate to see anyone/anything without necessities. My BFF would say I am loyal, crazy, and caring. The tattoo on my foot says “I will keep you wild.” Always want to continue to have fun. YOLO right? Yes, I said YOLO.

If you could have any meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?

If I could have any meal everyday for the rest of my life, it would be Jason’s Deli’s Bigger Better BLT.

What is your favorite local place to hang out?

Favorite spot to hang out would be my home. I love to have friends over and play games, swim, watch UFC, or chill. We aren’t home much so we really enjoy the chances we get to just stay home.

If you could step in a teleport for a day and go to any place and time in history, where and when would you travel to?

If I could teleport I would take my kiddos back to when my maternal grandparents were alive and let them get to know each other. I was the favorite granddaughter (only one) and I looked up to them and loved them so much. My kids do things all the time that remind me so much of them.

What’s the best part about your job?

I am a SAHM and feel very Blessed to be so. I currently homeschool 2 of my 4 kiddos. I have homeschooled all 4 at times and some years I send them all to school. I base it on my 11 year olds medical needs. I preferred it when they were all littles because we got to go to the zoo, parks, swimming, Six Flags, Sea World, etc. daily. I was once told I take too many pictures of my kids and I don’t believe that is even a thing.

What are you most thankful for?

I am most thankful for my family. I have the most loving and caring husband who puts up with my crazy and he works hard and is an amazing provider. My kids are all awesome, just ask them. Owen, 15, plays for the Jr. Rampage. Bella, 13, does All Star Cheer for San Antonio Spirit and is cheer captain at ORMS. Haley, 11, plays club Volleyball for the Texas Tigers, and the littlest ankle biter, Ava, 9, does All Star Cheer at Stars Vipers. I am my kiddos’ greatest fan. I am very much a mama bear. They are all the best.

What gives you the motivation to get up and get in the gym each day?

What keeps me attending CrossFit are the different workouts everyday. Always something new. I love to compete with myself and CrossFit is perfect for that. You can beat your time, or your max lifts, etc. Everything is possible.
