How long have you been CrossFitting?
Since January of this year
What’s your favorite movement?
Handstands without the push-up! 🙂
Anything with squats in it.
How does CrossFit impact you on a daily basis?
It’s become a lot easier to lift my patients into the helicopter without feeling the strain in my back!
How has CrossFit Virilis impacted you long-term?
I like feeling stronger, and it’s helped me come out of my shell being around new people.
What would you do today if you knew you could not fail?
Become an officer in the Navy
If you could have any meal every day for the rest of your life, what would it include?
Macaroni and hard boiled eggs.
Favorite spot to hang out?
I’m a pretty big fan of the Pig Pen in San Antonio.
Choose a movie title for the story of your life.
If you could step in a teleport for a day and go to any place and time in history, where and when would you travel to?
Anytime before 1998, so I could spend time with my grandma, grandpa, and aunt who have all passed away.
What’s the best thing about your job?
The level of autonomy in the helicopter that is entrusted to us to make decisions that will impact a patient’s life. It’s an entirely different world from being a bedside nurse.
What are you most thankful for?
My parents who worked hard to give me a good upbringing.
If you knew someone who had reservations about trying CrossFit, what’s the one thing you would say to encourage them?
Scale the workouts to a level that makes you feel comfortable.
Anything else you’d love to add?
I’m grateful for the continued support that CrossFit Virilis shows day in and day out. And Go ‘Stros!
