How long have you been doing CrossFit?
Three and a half years, I think.
What’s your favorite workout?
Any workout that is quick and intense. It makes me want to push myself and not stop.
What’s your favorite movement?
SQUATS! SQUATS! SQUATS!
Why do you do CrossFit?
Well, it started because I was just looking for a gym where they could help motivate me. A friend asked me to come join her at her gym (I had no idea what I was getting into). After that first session, I was hooked and now, I can’t stop!
What meal could you eat every day for the rest of your life?
Steak, baked potato and a margarita. O wait, let me throw a vegetable in there. Broccoli 🙂
What has CFV helped you do, achieve, overcome, etc?
Self doubt. There are so many movements that I knew for sure I would never be able to do. But I have since crossed many of those off my list. So now when I see an obstacle, instead of saying, “Nah, I will never get that,” I say, “That will be mine soon.” And not just in fitness. It has carried over to my personal life and work life.
If you could have dinner with anyone dead or alive, who would it be and why?
Adult night. We used to get together with friends once a month and have some great adult conversations. It has been over a year since we have done that and I so miss those great nights. Thanks a lot, Corona.
Top three favorite movies.
Steel Magnolias, Steel Magnolias, Steel Magnolias (I don’t watch much TV)
What makes you the happiest?
Anything else you want to add about CFV, CrossFit, or yourself?
Don’t be scared with the Crossfit name. If you have ever thought for one second that you need help with your nutrition or fitness, come join this wonderful family. You will never be alone as everyone, not just the coaching staff but all the members as well, are so encouraging and supportive. They will never let you give up. I couldn’t have come this far without CFV. Miss all your faces but don’t worry, I will be back in the gym soon!
