CrossFit Virilis January Member of the Month: Martha Pokornik

Martha is our CrossFit Virilis Member of the Month – way to go, Martha! She is full of life and happiness, and she is always aiming for progress in and out of the gym. Celebrating just over a year at CFV with us, we’re happy to celebrate Martha for all of her greatness! Read on and learn more about her:

How long have you been doing CrossFit?
A little over a year

What’s your favorite workout?
The “Never Miss a Monday” — no matter what the workout it is for that day. I feel re-energized!

What’s your favorite movement?
Air squats

Why do you do CrossFit?
Because I want to be toned up and because I enjoy small groups — where we’re still able to get personalized coaching.

What meal could you eat every day for the rest of your life?
I would eat steak and salad every day! (can I add rice to that?)

What has CFV helped you do?
CFV has helped me regain my self-esteem. And my butt.

If you could have dinner with anyone dead or alive, who would it be and why?
My kids. They’re no longer home with me, but still all alive & well.

What makes you the happiest?
So many things! I love Latin dance. Having a good Latin dance partner.
