Jillian is such a go-getter, lifelong learner, and just an overall kind and generous human. She’s strong, spunky, creative, a great mama, wife…we could go on and on. Learn more about her from her purview by reading on…
How long have you been CrossFitting?
About 3 years.
Any Hero WOD. I love that CrossFit pays tribute to fallen first responders and military members who have died in the line of duty. These WODs inspire you to lift heavier, move faster, and give 110% to pay tribute to and reflect on the sacrifices of the fallen.
How does CrossFit impact you on a daily basis?
I work from home and some days the only time I leave the house is to go to CrossFit. It is my daily therapy and the time I dedicate to becoming a better version of myself both physically and mentally. I get to do it alongside like-minded people that have become my tribe and support me.
How has CrossFit Virilis impacted you long-term?
It has helped me build self-confidence and taught me to step outside my comfort zone in order to grow. My body has evolved and become capable of things I never thought possible – like doing pull-ups and Olympic lifting. Most importantly, some of the best friends I have today I met at CrossFit. The community it has helped me create is amazing.
What would you do today if you knew you could not fail?
Rescue every animal at every shelter and place them in loving, forever homes.
If you could have any meal every day for the rest of your life, what would it include?
Thanksgiving dinner everyday. Especially my mom’s mashed potatoes and my husband’s cheesecake.
Favorite spot to hang out in Cibolo (or surrounding area)?
Besides CrossFit Virilis, I like to hang out at HEB and Old Main Ice House.
Choose a movie title for the story of your life.
Animal House. I live with my husband, our two sons and 4 crazy dogs. Enough said.
What’s the best thing about your job?
I get to be creative everyday (in my pajamas).
What are you most thankful for?
My amazing husband and our incredible boys. Every day with them is a gift.
If you knew someone who had reservations about trying CrossFit, what’s the one thing you would say to encourage them?
Everything is scalable. Anyone can do CrossFit. Once you start, your only regret will be not starting sooner!
…I’m blessed to be apart of the Virilis Family! 🙂
(We’re blessed by you, Jillian!!!)
